Cecred

Cécred (pronounced “sacred”) is a premium, inclusive haircare brand founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter in 2024. Conceived over six years of R&D, the brand’s mission is rooted in the belief that “hair is sacred”—that healthy hair should be accessible to people of all textures and styles. Its formulations are built around a bioactive keratin ferment technology, leveraging ethically sourced wool protein that’s molecularly sized to mimic keratin and penetrate hair fibers for repair and reinforcement. The initial product line, known as the Foundation Collection, launched with eight hero SKUs—cleansing, conditioning, treatments, and styling categories—designed for use across all hair types (straight, wavy, curly, coily) and hair states (virgin, color-treated, chemically processed). Cécred also integrates philanthropy: at launch, it announced a $500,000 annual grant in partnership with Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD foundation to support cosmetology students and salon owners in cities like Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Clementon. In April 2025, Cécred expanded into Ulta Beauty, appearing in over 1,400 store locations and online—a major milestone in its retail rollout. The brand has also garnered praise from beauty media, and its Restoring Hair & Edge Drops have become a standout viral product, sometimes selling out quickly upon restocks.
