About the Role
The Art Director will play a central role in defining and evolving goop’s visual identity across social and digital platforms. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll lead social art direction and concept creative campaigns for goop beauty and GWYN, guiding the brand’s storytelling with a balance of innovation, sophistication, and cultural awareness.
This role requires a creative visionary who thrives on collaboration, loves translating strategy into arresting visuals, and understands how to make brands resonate through modern storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Direction & Campaign Development
• Partner closely with the Creative Director to develop and elevate creative concepts for seasonal campaigns.
• Lead social art direction, ensuring cohesive, high-impact visual storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
• Concept, pitch, and execute campaign visuals and activations for beauty and fashion launches.
• Build and present creative decks for internal and external presentations, drawing on research, references, and trend insights.
Collaboration & Execution
• Work with social, brand, and marketing teams to create rollout strategies for goop beauty and GWYN.
• Direct on-set creative production, managing teams and vendors to ensure exceptional output.
• Maintain a consistent visual strategy across all channels while continuously innovating within goop’s design language.
• Stay deeply connected to cultural trends and platform innovations, bringing new storytelling techniques to life.

Qualifications & Experience
• 5–7+ years of experience in art direction or visual design, ideally within beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating campaign and social creative with exceptional taste and attention to detail.
• Expert-level understanding of photography, layout, typography, and motion.
• Hands-on experience producing creative for Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
• Proven experience managing creative teams and leading on-set productions.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into visually compelling executions.
• Highly organized with strong presentation and storytelling skills.
• Deep passion for beauty, fashion, wellness, and the goop aesthetic.

• Salary: $120,000–$140,000 + Equity (based on experience, skills, and location)
