The Role

We’re seeking a Design Systems Lead to architect, own, and evolve Linktree’s design system into a world-class product. You’ll scale design velocity, bridge design and engineering, and define how Linktree’s design language translates across platforms.

This is a high-impact role — you’ll set the standard for quality, speed, and cohesion across our global design and engineering teams. You’ll be a system thinker with a designer’s eye and an engineer’s mind, pushing the boundaries of how AI can accelerate design system evolution.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Design System Strategy: Define and execute the roadmap for Linktree’s design system, auditing, optimizing, and evolving components for scale.

• Bridge Design + Engineering: Deliver production-ready components, from structure to naming conventions, ensuring seamless adoption in code.

• Advocate Cross-Functionally: Partner with designers, engineers, and PMs to drive system adoption across all product areas.

• Govern & Document: Build clear usage guidelines, accessibility standards, and contribution processes to maintain consistency and quality.

• Innovate & Iterate: Continuously evolve the system with feedback loops, new technologies, and AI-driven design tooling.

Who You Are

• Proven experience leading large-scale design system initiatives in consumer or SaaS products.

• Fluent in Figma, component libraries, token systems, and documentation tools.

• Strong collaboration history with engineers — you think in code and design simultaneously.

• Excellent communicator who can evangelize systems thinking across disciplines.

• Passionate about the intersection of AI and design systems, using technology to scale design excellence.

Compensation

💰 $200,000–$230,000 USD base salary (San Francisco or Los Angeles)
