About Workweek
Workweek is reimagining how business leaders create, connect, and collaborate.
We’re solving the knowledge expert paradox — as leaders grow more experienced, their expertise becomes harder for others to access.
Our solution: Operator Networks — professional communities of verified business leaders built for real conversation, useful content, and genuine connection. Members swap insights, talk shop, and even launch their own newsletters and podcasts.
We monetize through our Partner Platform, a B2B ad network that helps marketers invest and attribute smarter — think Facebook Business Manager built for real B2B sales cycles.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Audio & Video Production to lead Workweek’s A/V operations — overseeing everything from podcasts and webinars to custom video content.
This is a player-coach role: you’ll manage a team of producers and editors, while still personally producing one podcast (4–8 episodes per month) to stay close to the craft and culture of production.
You’ll collaborate with Content, Brand Partnerships, and Operations to elevate Workweek’s storytelling, refine show formats, and ensure sponsors and partners get deliverables that exceed expectations.
You’ll report to the COO, manage internal producers and external contractors, and play a key role in scaling our creative operations.
What You’ll Do
• Lead Workweek’s A/V production team, overseeing all podcast and video content.
• Manage production calendars, workflows, and resources for multiple shows and custom projects.
• Collaborate with the Content Team to enhance storytelling, show formats, and guest experiences.
• Partner with the Brand Partnerships Team to execute sponsor deliverables and branded integrations.
• Personally edit and produce 1 podcast show per month to maintain hands-on familiarity with the process.
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of producers, editors, and contractors.
• Maintain budget visibility, vendor relationships, and reporting on A/V performance metrics.
• Continuously improve production systems and quality standards as Workweek scales.
Who You Are
• 4–7 years of audio/video production experience, with leadership or large-scale project experience.
• Proven track record producing and editing podcasts and video content end-to-end.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Audition, Pro Tools, or equivalent tools.
• Organized and detail-oriented; thrives in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
• A creative leader who can collaborate effectively across sales, ops, and content.
• Hands-on mindset — you don’t just manage, you help make the work great.
• Passionate about storytelling, technical excellence, and building scalable systems.
