The Role
The Director of Strategy & Analytics (Retail) will lead the strategy, analytics, and campaign planning for Influential’s retail client portfolio. You’ll shape how major retail brands approach social storytelling and commerce, balancing performance data with creative innovation. This role requires a sharp analytical mindset, an instinct for cultural trends, and the ability to translate insights into scalable business growth strategies.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and oversee end-to-end influencer strategies for leading retail brands.
• Partner with Creative, Revenue, and Client Solutions to define goals and KPIs that drive sales and brand awareness.
• Build data-backed business cases for influencer and content investments.
• Guide omni-channel strategy—audience targeting, content direction, and paid amplification.
• Present campaign strategy, rationale, and optimization recommendations to senior clients.
• Interpret campaign data into actionable insights and growth strategies.
• Lead the creation of scalable strategic frameworks and best practices across the organization.
• Manage quick-turn, multi-platform retail campaigns while ensuring measurable impact.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and foster a culture of insight-driven execution.
What You’ll Bring
• 8+ years in strategy, media planning, or analytics, ideally in retail or e-commerce marketing.
• Deep expertise in influencer marketing, creator ecosystems, and content measurement.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and media research tools (YouGov, GWI, Helixa, Simmons).
• Experience with social listening platforms (Brandwatch, Infegy) and quantitative research.
• Strong leadership and presentation skills with C-suite clients.
• Proven ability to balance data-driven rigor with creative intuition.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
