The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our Curate pillar — the team behind how millions of users shape their Linktrees through identity, design, and content organization.

This role blends architecture, leadership, and creative engineering. You’ll guide a cross-functional team to build expressive, performant, and reliable experiences that empower users to design and personalize their online presence. You’ll champion quality, accelerate delivery through AI, and ensure every feature reflects Linktree’s signature aesthetic.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & Mentor: Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing engineering squad focused on user customization and curation.

• Architect & Ship: Design scalable systems, prototype new features, and contribute code when needed to unblock progress.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Product and Design to translate user needs into elegant, scalable interfaces.

• Drive Technical Excellence: Lead code reviews, testing best practices, and operational reliability.

• Accelerate with AI: Embed AI tooling and LLM workflows to boost productivity and development velocity.

• Champion Reliability: Oversee on-call processes and continuous improvement in incident response.

Who You Are

• Experienced in modern web architectures (TypeScript, React, GraphQL, AWS, PHP).

• Proven record leading consumer-facing or design-led product teams (experience with platforms like Figma, Canva, or Notion a plus).

• Equally strategic and hands-on — you can zoom out for roadmap planning and dive in to debug production.

• Empathetic, collaborative leader with strong communication and mentoring skills.

• Reliability-first mindset, with experience managing live systems and on-call rotations.

• Curious and AI-forward, leveraging automation and LLM tools to optimize engineering workflows.

Compensation

💰 $220,000–$250,000 USD base salary (San Francisco or Los Angeles)
