The Role

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to help power Pearpop’s platform — building scalable backend systems, seamless APIs, and integrated front-end experiences that empower creators and brands alike.

You’ll work closely with engineering leadership, product, and design to build, test, and ship features that impact the creator economy at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js (with frameworks like Hono).

• Design and implement RESTful APIs that support creator tools, brand integrations, and platform services.

• Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB) and ORMs such as Sequelize to design efficient schemas.

• Integrate front-end logic (React, HTML5, CSS3) to ensure smooth user experiences.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud environments (GCP, AWS).

• Implement security best practices, including authentication (Gravitee, OAuth) and data protection.

• Debug and resolve issues across the stack to maintain system health and uptime.

• Contribute to code reviews and maintain engineering standards.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and talent teams to deliver creator-first experiences.

• Stay current with new tools and technologies in full-stack development.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in backend (Node.js) and 1+ year in frontend (React or similar).

• Proficient in JavaScript, RESTful API design, and modern development workflows.

• Skilled in SQL and ORM tools like Sequelize.

• Experience with authentication systems, microservices, and API security.

• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiar with Git, GitHub, and agile development environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a product-oriented mindset.

• Passionate about social media, internet culture, and the creator economy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Next.js, Redux, or other state management tools.

• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog).

• Knowledge of creator, social, or e-commerce platforms.

• Strong communicator capable of explaining technical concepts to non-engineers.
