About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations to lead multi-unit restaurant performance, culture, and growth across the Los Angeles market. Reporting to senior leadership, this role is responsible for P&L ownership, operational excellence, and strategic expansion while driving sustained financial results and elevating the guest experience.

The ideal candidate is a proven multi-unit operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and knows how to build winning teams, create scalable systems, and deliver excellence through execution. You will lead with accountability, develop future leaders, and ensure every store delivers on the company’s mission, values, and standards.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

• Lead a high-performing team of District and General Managers, ensuring consistent execution across all operations

• Model company vision, mission, and core values daily — setting the tone for excellence, integrity, and service

• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and accountability at every level

• Mentor, coach, and develop management teams to build strong leadership pipelines

Operational Excellence

• Drive sales growth, profitability, and guest satisfaction across all assigned locations

• Build, refine, and implement operational systems and processes to support company scalability

• Conduct regular store audits to assess performance, compliance, and execution against KPIs

• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Facilities, and Training to ensure operational alignment

• Champion safety, quality, and food standards to maintain top-tier health and audit scores

Financial Management

• Own full P&L responsibility for the region, driving efficiency while maximizing top-line growth

• Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting, aligning targets with company objectives

• Monitor financial performance and cost controls; identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce waste

• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate and timely monthly close, reporting, and analysis

Talent & Staffing

• Ensure all locations are properly staffed and equipped for success

• Actively recruit, interview, and hire management talent; function as a district-level recruiter

• Oversee new manager training and continuous leadership development programs

• Enforce performance standards, execute disciplinary action when necessary, and maintain high morale across teams

Guest Experience & Brand Standards

• Audit stores for consistency in guest service, food quality, and brand presentation

• Ensure compliance with all SOPs and operational frameworks

• Maintain a “no guest leaves unhappy” standard — teaching managers to play the Hero Role in guest recovery

• Drive OSAT scores above 72% through proactive service and operational excellence

Risk, Safety & Compliance

• Enforce all company policies related to HR, legal, cash handling, and asset protection

• Maintain clean, compliant, and safe working environments at all locations

• Partner with HR and Legal to handle investigations, ensure compliance, and mitigate risk

Facilities & Asset Management

• Oversee condition and maintenance of all stores; coordinate repairs with GMs and Regional Facilities Managers

• Approve R&M expenses and ensure capital improvements are managed efficiently

• Ensure every location meets the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and brand presentation

Expansion & Strategic Initiatives

• Lead operational planning for new store openings and remodels

• Identify growth opportunities in existing markets and evaluate potential new sites

• Serve as a key operational resource for strategic company initiatives and cross-departmental projects

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Restaurant Management, or related field

• Minimum 5 years as a General Manager and 2+ years in a multi-unit or Director-level role

• Proven track record leading multi-unit retail or restaurant operations in high-volume environments

• Strong understanding of financial management, operational strategy, and team development

• Excellent communicator with strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills

• Hands-on, motivational management style with the ability to inspire and hold teams accountable

• Data-driven, detail-oriented, and able to make decisive, strategic business decisions under pressure

• Must live in the Los Angeles area and have a deep understanding of local market dynamics

Key Competencies

• Strategic leadership and execution

• Financial and operational acumen

• Talent development and team building

• Customer-first mindset

• High emotional intelligence and communication

• Risk management and compliance excellence

• Entrepreneurial drive and hands-on problem-solving
