Position Overview

The PD / Designer for Innovation & Collaborations plays a pivotal role in supporting the full product development lifecycle—from concept to final execution—for SKIMS’ innovation initiatives and high-profile collaborations.

You’ll work cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, Production, and Partnerships to ensure timely execution, product excellence, and brand alignment across all innovation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

• Manage day-to-day operations of the innovation and collaborations product development process.

• Track and organize samples, trims, materials, and other development assets.

• Create and maintain line sheets, BOMs, and tech packs to ensure design accuracy and production readiness.

• Partner with factories and vendors to manage timelines, approvals, and deliverables.

• Support fittings, quality checks, and sample reviews—documenting feedback and ensuring execution of revisions.

Design & Creative Support

• Conduct trend and concept research to inform seasonal innovation and collaborations.

• Build mood boards, presentation decks, and CADs that communicate the creative vision.

• Collaborate with designers to maintain brand aesthetic, innovation standards, and technical accuracy.

• Maintain sample libraries, archives, and visual assets for easy reference and team alignment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Production, and Partnerships teams to align design and development milestones with campaign timelines.

• Prepare samples, assets, and presentations for internal reviews and external partner approvals.

• Support partner communications to ensure all collaborative projects meet creative and operational expectations.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in design or product development (experience in fashion, lifestyle, or collaborations preferred).

• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and trims; passion for product innovation.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.

• Highly organized with exceptional project management and communication skills.

• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute in a fast-paced environment.

• Enthusiastic about innovation, collaborations, and cultural storytelling.

$100,000 – $125,000 / year

(Dependent on experience and qualifications.)
