The Role

We’re looking for a Product Operations Associate to help operationalize the future of Smart Avatars. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, product, and entertainment, ensuring that every avatar experience is authentic, engaging, and production-ready.

This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on, curious, and eager to grow into product management or creative tech. You’ll support avatar research, production coordination, prompt iteration, and user testing—bridging the gap between Genies’ creative ambitions and its AI systems.

📍 Location: Los Angeles or New York (in-person)

💰 Salary Range: $70,000–$120,000 USD

What You’ll Do

• Support Avatar Production: Research talent and IP personas to shape avatar personalities, voices, and aesthetics.

• Build & Test Smart Avatars: Write, evaluate, and refine prompts and behaviors to ensure alignment with brand and personality.

• Manage Production Workflows: Coordinate avatar development schedules and track progress across releases.

• User Research & Interviews: Conduct structured interviews, gather insights, and synthesize findings for the product team.

• QA & Validation: Identify and report bugs, mismatches, and response issues; collaborate with engineers and PMs to improve systems.

• Document Workflows: Create clean documentation for experiments, versioning, and feedback loops.

• Trend Analysis: Track AI companion and fandom trends, sharing insights with the broader team.

• Scale Operations: Build systems and playbooks that enable scalable avatar training and deployment.

What You’ll Bring

• 1–2 years of experience in product ops, research, QA, or creative/production environments (internships welcome).

• Detail-oriented and organized—you catch inconsistencies before anyone else.

• Passion for AI, gaming, digital characters, or entertainment.

• Clear, structured communication skills and a proactive mindset.

• Curiosity about product workflows and how to improve them.

• Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, or Character.ai.

• Bonus: familiarity with Unity, prompt engineering, or 3D production workflows.
