About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take a technical leadership role in building Fanfix’s next-generation platform. You’ll architect scalable systems, mentor engineers, and drive innovation across our backend stack — ensuring Fanfix remains fast, reliable, and ready for global scale.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth environments, writes clean and resilient code, and loves turning complex business challenges into elegant technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design backend systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Lead high-impact engineering projects from planning to deployment.

• Develop and maintain robust APIs and microservices using TypeScript and Node.js.

• Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to translate business goals into technical outcomes.

• Optimize and maintain database systems (PostgreSQL) and manage schema evolution.

• Implement and maintain GraphQL APIs and integrations.

• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code with Jest and modern CI/CD workflows.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of growth and quality.

• Troubleshoot critical platform issues and ensure high uptime standards.

Requirements

• Expert in TypeScript, Node.js, and asynchronous programming.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and ORMs such as MikroORM, Prisma, or Sequelize.

• Proficiency with GraphQL, NestJS, and API design.

• Experience writing unit and integration tests with Jest.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable leading projects independently.

• Experience architecting and scaling distributed systems in a cloud environment.

• Deep understanding of microservices and DevOps best practices (Docker, CI/CD).
