About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) to lead the next evolution of our mobile experience. You’ll design and build high-performance, visually polished apps using React Native and Expo, shaping how millions of users engage with creators on iOS and Android.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who obsesses over pixel-perfect UX, clean architecture, and lightning-fast performance. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams — and help push the boundaries of mobile innovation in the creator economy.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain world-class mobile applications using React Native and Expo.

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ship polished, intuitive features.

• Optimize app performance, including startup time, bundle size, and memory management.

• Integrate GraphQL or REST APIs with React Query or Apollo Client.

• Write robust unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest and Detox/Maestro.

• Contribute to the evolution of Fanfix’s mobile architecture and design systems.

• Mentor engineers and champion mobile engineering best practices.

• Continuously improve app quality, velocity, and reliability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building React Native apps at scale.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Expo SDK, and EAS Build/Submit/Update workflows.

• Deep understanding of app performance optimization and native bridging.

• Experience with NativeWind, shadcn/ui, or similar UI frameworks.

• Proven ability to ship production apps on App Store and Google Play.

• Strong attention to detail in UI, animations, and state management.

• Excellent communicator and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with design systems and component libraries across web and mobile.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, EAS, or Turborepo).

• Exposure to feature flagging, analytics, and observability tools (e.g. PostHog, Sentry, LaunchDarkly).

• Comfort working in monorepo environments with shared utilities.

• Prior mentorship or technical leadership experience.
