The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to craft the experience of Polar across our dashboard, SDKs, and developer-facing surfaces. You’ll design flows that make complex billing effortless and magical — from onboarding to checkout to customer portals.

You’ll lead our design system, partner closely with engineers, and shape the future of our product with a high degree of autonomy. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, design craft, and developer experience.

What You’ll Do
• Design end-to-end product experiences — flows, interfaces, prototypes, and interactions.
• Create and maintain a design system balancing speed, consistency, and craft.
• Collaborate with engineers and product leads to scope, refine, and ship world-class features.
• Work directly with our developer community to understand needs and translate feedback into elegant solutions.
• Prototype rapidly — from Figma to Cursor or Claude Code — to test ideas in real environments.
• Champion design excellence in typography, animation, micro-interactions, and developer ergonomics.
• Contribute to open source design efforts where design and developer experience intersect.

What You’ll Bring
• 7+ years designing digital products end-to-end.
• Strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful UX, clean UI, and refined interactions.
• Experience designing complex, data-rich, or developer-facing tools.
• Mastery of modern design tools (Figma, AI-assisted tools like Cursor/Claude Code).
• Excellent communicator who thrives in tight collaboration with engineering.
• Strategic mindset — you can design for the long-term product vision while shipping fast today.
• Ability to prototype directly in code (React, Next.js, Tailwind) when needed.

Bonus:
• Experience designing for developer tools, SDKs, or APIs.
• Contributions to open source design systems or component libraries.
