The Role
We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to drive the next chapter of Partiful’s growth. You’ll work directly with our CTO, leading technical direction, shaping scalable architecture, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.

This is a hands-on IC role for a builder who values craftsmanship, product intuition, and impact over hierarchy.

What You’ll Do
• Partner directly with the CTO to shape engineering strategy and architecture.
• Make key technical decisions across our React, React Native, Node.js, and TypeScript stack.
• Design scalable systems and ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead by example through end-to-end feature development and technical leadership.
• Establish and evolve engineering best practices and review critical code paths.
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards across teams.
• Drive improvements in velocity, reliability, and team culture.

Who You Are
• 12+ years of professional engineering experience, including 3+ years in React.
• Experience spanning both startups and larger organizations, with proven long-term impact.
• Strong product mindset and ability to balance speed with scalability.
• Skilled at structuring complex systems and breaking down ambiguous problems.
• Committed to clean, sustainable, and scalable engineering.
• Leads through influence and mentorship, not authority.
• Humble, collaborative, and energized by building products that connect people.
