About the Role

Well-Oiled Operations, an Acquisition.com portfolio company, builds scalable systems for founders and operators who want to grow fast — and smart.

As Vice President of Operations, you’ll lead the engine that keeps the company running with clarity, consistency, and control. This is a builder’s role — your mandate is to translate vision into systems, scale execution across every department, and create a company that operates like what it teaches: a well-oiled machine.

What You’ll Do

• Translate Vision into Execution: Turn strategy into action by aligning teams around measurable goals and frameworks.

• Systematize Scale: Architect company-wide SOPs, reporting structures, and performance systems that make growth predictable.

• Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Align Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations under one operating rhythm.

• Optimize Performance: Build dashboards, KPIs, and feedback loops that make execution measurable, visible, and accountable.

• Mentor Leaders: Develop department heads into strong, autonomous operators with clear ownership and accountability.

• Drive Profitability: Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, margins, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.

• Operationalize Excellence: Build systems that ensure speed without chaos, precision without bureaucracy.

What You’ll Bring

• 10+ years in operations or business leadership, with 5+ managing cross-functional teams.

• Proven success scaling multi-department organizations and improving efficiency, profitability, and performance.

• Executive-level communication and decision-making under pressure.

• Deep expertise in systems design, process optimization, and strategic alignment.

• Technical fluency with tools like HubSpot, Slack, and Monday.com.

• Must be available for CST hours; based in the Milwaukee/Chicago area preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $180K–$210K base + variable compensation
